Sporting Series - Bowling Social
After many years of COVID restricted activities, the Wildcats finally had the first of its socials, with the start of a new so-called “Sporting Series”. The premise of the “Sporting Series” social is to explore the Wildcats sporting ability outside of the kayak and polo field… alongside some drinks, food and banter. All in the aim of having some fun and a good time, with only a little competitiveness!
There was a splendid turnout at the bowling alley, with many a Wildcat flaunting their bowling flare! Some quite unexpected! An added element of fun was the addition of two hats - a cap for those who scored a strike, a bucket hat for those with a gutter ball - which moved from player to player throughout the game. It was extremely close towards the end, with hats switching regularly, but in the end two victors - of the cap, Maz Gregg, of the bucket hat, Mary Sharples! Fantastic effort from all.
Swiftly from the bowling alley, the Wildcats ended the night with drinks and dancing at an Irish Bar. Who knows, there may be a ceilidh in the social calendar….!!
The next event in the planning for our “Sporting Series” socials, it at Junkyard Golf in central Manchester! To keep up with our socials please follow us on Instagram, Facebook and keep an eye on our website!
